How to create a Pinterest Business account

Pinterest is a fantastic way to expand your reach and engage with a broader audience, especially if you have an e-commerce business. Having a Business Account means access to analytics, the ability to run ads, and features like Rich Pins.

Here’s how to create a Pinterest Business account:

  1. First, head over to Pinterest's homepage and either log in with your personal account or click Sign Up to create a new account.

  2. Once you're logged in, click the down arrow in the top-right corner and select Add Pinterest Account.

  3. Then click Create a free Business account.

  4. Input your email, password, and birthday.

  5. Next, fill in your business name, region, and website.

  6. Choose the industry that closely matches your business, and select how many people work at your company.

  7. Then, edit your profile. Here's where you can upload your business logo and write a brief description of your business (it’s limited to 160 characters, so make it impactful, and be sure to use keywords!) Here is also where you would add Claimed Accounts to connect directly to your website, Instagram and Shopify.

Once you agree to the T&Cs, your Pinterest Business account is ready! Start by creating boards and Pin consistently to keep your audience engaged.
