How to set up an alias email address on Gmail

If you’re a small business owner and want to create a separate email address like info@, support@, or admin@, but you’re still a solopreneur and need to be able to check that account - you might want to set up that email address as an alias.

  1. First, go to admin.google.com and login

  2. On the left-hand menu, go to Directory

  3. Then select Users

  4. Select your primary email address

  5. Click Add Alternate Emails

  6. Scroll down to Alternate email addresses (email alias)

  7. Enter the alternate email you wish to have connected to your account and click Save. It’s great because you can have more than one alias per account!

*Note that you’ll need to have a Google Workspace account and Admin access to do this.
