How to turn off reactions on video calls

Have you ever had balloons or a thumbs-up sign pop up on your screen during a video call? It’s actually an Apple feature and here’s how to turn it off.

  1. First, open FaceTime on your computer.

  2. On your computer’s top menu bar, click the FaceTime icon

  3. Go down to Reactions, and make sure these are all turned off!

  4. To ensure it doesn’t happen when on a Zoom call or other recording software like Loom, be sure to go through the same steps while that software is open.
