How to archive content on Instagram
Don't delete your Instagram posts! Since Instagram's algorithm currently prioritizes engagement, deleting content can affect your data and lead to worse results. Archive your posts instead so you can keep all the post's engagement data, including likes, comments, shares, etc.
Here’s how to archive content on Instagram instead so you can keep all the post’s engagement data, including likes, comments, shares, etc.:
Go to the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the post or Reel and click Archive.
To unarchive content on Instagram:
Go to the hamburger menu in the upper right-hand corner of your profile and select Archive.
At the top, you can toggle between the Stories, Posts, and Lives archives.
Select the content you wish to un-archive, and again go to the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the post or Reel and select Show on profile.
